How to add a link on text

how-to-add-a-link-on-text

  1. Click where you would like to add your text.

  2. Write down the sentence or words on which you would like to put your link.

Should you write a web address (URL) directly in the content of your email?
Quite the opposite. You should actually try to avoid textually writing your complete web address (URL) in your text. Ex: https://mywebsite/myblog/12345677...Instead, use action words on which you'll add your links. Good call to action could be "Download the flyer", "Learn more" , "Read the article" etc.

Why? On top of not being very aesthetically pleasing, a very long URL could cause some display issues in a few email softwares. Additionally, when textually writing your link down in your email, you indicate to your reader, along with their antispam filter where the linkk points to. When using our platform to send your emails, we however replace the links with unique links personnalized for each recipient. Your subscriber will therefore be directed to this unique link, then redirected to the link you chose, allowing us to gather click statistics. This action is barely perceptible, as it happens in a fraction of a second...but not for antispam filters. The antispam filters can detect that the link written textually and the link where your subscriber will first land (its unique link) are different and may identify your email as phishing, hence why it's recommended to integrate links as hyperlinks. If you must right down the complete URL in the content of your email, we suggest not to add an hyperlink on it. Most email software will add the link directly in the email. However, you won't have any statistics for this link.
  3. Highlight the sentence or word on which you would like to add your link.

  4. Select the "Link" button in the toolbar (the little chain icon). The link properties window will open.

The underline is there for a reason. It helps your reader to see easily where your links are and it indicates which text is clickable. However, for aesthetic reasons, it happens that we want to remove the underline. If so, we strongly recommend you to pick a bright color or other formatting options to differentiate your links from the rest of your text.
